Workshop Presenters:
Stanley H. Block, M.D., founder and inventor of Mind Body Bridging is Adjunct Professor of Law and Psychiatry at Seattle University School of Law and Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at University of Utah School Of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis and has had academic appointments and taught at a number of medical schools, including his alma mater UCLA. Before entering medical school, he received an M.A. in physics at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Block is currently developing medical applications and practice centers based on Mind-Body Bridging principles. He is the author of the Mind-Body Workbook for PTSD, the award winning book Come To Your Senses; Demystifying The Mind-Body Connection and Bridging the I-System. Kevin Webb is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 21 years experience. Kevin is certified in the Mind-Body Bridging approach, having studied under its developer, Stanley H. Block, M.D. He is currently working as a therapist, successfully treating court ordered Domestic Violence Offenders, with Mind Body Bridging. Kevin coauthored a paper regarding the use of the Mind-Body Bridging approach in treating Domestic Violence Offenders which was published in the Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment, & Trauma in January 2009. He also pioneered the use of Mind-Body Bridging with children and families. Kevin has provided numerous community and professional workshops on the application of Mind-Body Bridging. He has extensive experience teaching both adults and children of all ages the Mind-Body Bridging approach, helping them to overcome stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma, while learning to live life in the most fulfilling way possible.
