AYP Yoga and Meditation Retreats Details:

The AYP Yoga and Meditation Retreats will both be lead by Katrine Kristiansen and Carson Zi, two leading AYP instructors. The retreats will include a balanced daily practice of deep meditation, breathing exercises, and a basic yoga stretching routine as well as other emotionally healing activities. Other powerful practices of Inquiry and Insight Dialogue will also be taught.

The teachings will be geared towards the needs of the individual and customized to each person's level of experience. Instructions for establishing a daily home practice will also be provided so that inner silence, creativity, and happiness can continue to expand in all areas of your life once the retreat is over. No previous yoga or meditation experience required. Ideal for everyone from complete beginners to advanced.

Presenter Profiles:

Katrine Kristiansen is a classically trained flautist, vocalist, homeopathic healer, teacher, and mother of two grown daughters. Arthritis and cancer diagnosis in the early 1990s, lead to a profound and life changing inner awakening which permanently revealed to her the formless consciousness that shines through all of life. Healed through macrobiotics and meditation, Katrine has been engaged in individual and group teaching and healing work, anchored in inner silence since 1996. She has been leading AYP Deep Meditation seminars and retreats in Europe and North America since 2008. Visit www.katrinekristiansen.com for more about Katrine.

Carson Zi, RYT, is a former touring musician and recording studio owner. The hazards of that industry led to drug addictions and difficult times. In 2008 he began using the AYP system of practices, his life became permanently changed and the addictions disappeared within a few months. Since then, due to his passion to help others experience similar inner-change, he has become a Yoga Alliance-certified yoga instructor and has been teaching the AYP system of practices in yoga studios, rehab facilities in Calgary, Canada and at retreats across North America. In addition to his yoga activities, he works full-time at General Electric, is married, and recently welcomed a baby daughter in 2010. Visit blissedyoga.com for more about Carson.

Itinerary for the Retreats:

FRIDAY

1pm to 2pm - Check-in and Registration

2pm to 230pm - Introduction: Welcome, General information regarding the retreat with Carson and Katrine.

230pm to 330pm - Instructions for AYP yoga stretching, deep meditation and breathing practices for the retreat.

330pm to 4pm - Half hour break/ Additional Questions answered

4pm to 5pm - 1st AYP Session of yoga stretching, breathing, deep meditation and rest with Carson and Katrine.

5pm to 6pm – Walking/hiking outdoors (weather permitting)

6pm to 730pm - Dinner Served in the Dining Hall

730pm to 9pm - Talk and Q&A with Katrine

9pm - Free time and bed


SATURDAY


7am to 8am - Wake up and Breakfast Served in the Dining Hall

8am to 9am - Morning AYP Session of yoga stretching, breathing, deep meditation and rest with Carson and Katrine.

9am to 10am - Extra practice with Carson or free time for beginners. Additional individual instruction if needed with Katrine.

10am to 11am - Katrine and Carson Talk and Q&A regarding Self-Pacing.

11am to 12pm - Walking/Hiking

12pm to 1pm - Lunch Served in the Dining Hall

1pm to 230pm - Insight Dialogue with Katrine

230pm to 330pm - Free Time for Rest and Relaxation

330pm to 430pm - Talk Carson and Q & A with Carson and Katrine

430pm to 530pm - Evening AYP Session of yoga stretching, breathing, deep meditation and rest with Carson and Katrine.

530pm to 630pm - Free time and Journal writing

630pm to 730pm - Dinner Served in the Dining Hall

730pm to 9pm - Talk and Q&A with Katrine and Carson

9pm - Free time and bed.


SUNDAY


7am to 8am - Wake up and Breakfast Served in the Dining Hall

8am to 9am - Morning AYP Session of yoga stretching, breathing, deep meditation and rest with Carson and Katrine.

9am to 10am - Meeting to assess the impact of Saturday's Insight Dialogue followed by Q & A with Katrine

10am to 11am - Walking/Hiking

11am to 12pm - Self Inquiry Session with Katrine

12pm to 1pm - Lunch Served in the Dining Hall

1pm to 130pm - Rest & Free Time

130pm to 3pm - Talk and Q& A, with summary of retreat, Q & A if any (Carson and Katrine), talk on how to go back into daily activity with Katrine

3pm to 4pm - Second daily AYP Session of yoga stretching, breathing, deep meditation and rest with Carson and Katrine.

4pm - Conclusion of Retreat
