AYP Yoga and Meditation Retreat Details:

The AYP Yoga and Meditation Retreats will both be lead by Katrine Kristiansen and Carson Zi, two leading AYP instructors. The retreats will include a balanced daily practice of deep meditation, breathing exercises, and a basic yoga stretching routine as well as other emotionally healing activities. Other powerful practices of Inquiry and Insight Dialogue will also be taught.

The teachings will be geared towards the needs of the individual and customized to each person's level of experience. Instructions for establishing a daily home practice will also be provided so that inner silence, creativity, and happiness can continue to expand in all areas of your life once the retreat is over. No previous yoga or meditation experience required. Ideal for everyone from complete beginners to advanced.

Presenter Profiles:

Katrine Kristiansen is a classically trained flautist, vocalist, homeopathic healer, teacher, and mother of two grown daughters. Arthritis and cancer diagnosis in the early 1990s, lead to a profound and life changing inner awakening which permanently revealed to her the formless consciousness that shines through all of life. Healed through macrobiotics and meditation, Katrine has been engaged in individual and group teaching and healing work, anchored in inner silence since 1996. She has been leading AYP Deep Meditation seminars and retreats in Europe and North America since 2008. Visit www.katrinekristiansen.com for more about Katrine.

Carson Zi, RYT, is a former touring musician and recording studio owner. The hazards of that industry led to drug addictions and difficult times. In 2008 he began using the AYP system of practices, his life became permanently changed and the addictions disappeared within a few months. Since then, due to his passion to help others experience similar inner-change, he has become a Yoga Alliance-certified yoga instructor and has been teaching the AYP system of practices in yoga studios, rehab facilities in Calgary, Canada and at retreats across North America. In addition to his yoga activities, he works full-time at General Electric, is married, and recently welcomed a baby daughter in 2010. Visit blissedyoga.com for more about Carson.

Itinerary for the Retreats:


FRIDAY

9 am to 10 am - Check-in and Registration

10 am to 10:45 am – Welcome and Instructions for AYP light yogastretching, deep meditation and breathing practices for the retreat.

10:45 am to 11:30 am - 1st AYP practice session: 10 min Alternate Nostril Breathing or Spinal Breathing Pranayama, 20 min Deep Meditation and 15 min rest.

11:30 am to 12 pm - General information regarding the retreat.

12 pm to 1 pm – Lunch

1 pm to 2 pm – Talk and Q&A Carson on Self-pacing

2 pm to 3 pm - Optional light Tai chi session with Katrine

3 pm to 4 pm - Free time

4 pm to 5 pm - 2nd AYP Session: 10 min optional light yoga stretching, 10 min Alternate Nostril Breathing or Spinal Breathing Pranayama, 20 min Deep Meditation and 15 min rest

5 pm to 6 pm – Optional journal writing

6 pm to 7 pm – Dinner

7 pm to 7:30 pm – Walking outdoors

7:30 pm to 9 pm – Sharings and Dialogues

9 pm - Free time and bed


SATURDAY


7:30 am to 8:30 am - Wake up and light breakfast (served at 8 am)

8:30 am to 9:30 am - Morning AYP Session (Same as Friday 4 pm)

9:30 am to 10 am – Talk and Q & A on relational Self Inquiry

10 am to 10:30 am - Free time and optional light Tai chi session with Katrine

10:30 am to 12 pm - Self inquiry session with Katrine

12 pm to 1 pm - Lunch

1 pm to 3 pm - Walking outdoors

3 pm to 4 pm - Talk Carson and Q & A

4 pm to 5 pm - Evening AYP Session (same as morning session)

5 pm to 6 pm - Sharings on impact of Self Inquiry session

6 pm to 7 pm - Dinner

7 pm to 7:30 pm – Walking outdoors

7:30 pm to 9 pm – Inspirational Sharing by Katrine + Q & A

9 pm - Free time and bed.


SUNDAY

10:30 am to 11:30 am – Walking outdoors
